New bathymetry maps for the Dutch Leeward islands

The Hydrographic Service of the Royal Netherlands Navy published new bathymetry maps for Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. These high resolution nautical depth maps were created from a multi-beam survey: a multibeam echo sounder attached to a boat sends out a wide array of beams across a "swath" of the seabed. As the beams are bounced back from the seabed, the data is collected and processed:
