Fisheries

Fisheries have always been an important element of the economic and cultural activities in the Dutch Caribbean. Moreover, healthy (reef-)fish attract dive tourists. Observed fish stock threats are: invasive fauna, disturbance of habitat by pollution and sedimentation and over-fishing.
