Within the Caribbean Netherlands overgrazing by roaming cattle is considered a serious threat to terrestrial ecosystems. The conseuqentil erosion on land forms a serious threat to marine ecosystems. Roaming cattle primarily consists of goats, but also donkeys, cattle and increasingly pigs.
