Vegetation trends BES island

This project aims to provide trends substantiated with objective data about the size and botanical quality (species composition) of the terrestrial ecosystems on the islands of Saba, Sint Eustatius and Bonaire. The results will be delivered immediately for the State of Nature of the Caribbean Netherlands report 2024. In addition, the results will be shared with local organizations for the purpose of integrating biodiversity in other social domains, reducing the size/impact of the footprint and sustainable management and restoration of nature in the Caribbean to safeguard ecosystem services, especially in view of climate change.
