Saba: Hurricane Impacts

Since the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria through the windward islands, the staff of the dive operators on Saba, comprising Saba Divers, Sea Saba and Explorer Ventures, interns and volunteers have been actively assisting the Saba Conservation Foundation (SCF) with the assessment and first restoration Saba’s coral reefs, the reefs on the Saba Bank National Marine Park as well as essential trail maintenance and clearance. These efforts are being supported by the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA), the Wereld Natuur Fonds (WNF) and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
